The talk will take place at ITV454 at the Department of Computer and Information Science from 11.15 to 12.00, Friday, November 30th.
Anders Kofod-Petersen was featured on Norwegian national broadcaster NRKs popular scientific program Schrödingers Katt last night. There, he discussed intelligent traffic lights, and how they can make traffic and pedestrians flow more optimally. Watch it here (the clip begins about 20 minutes into the show).
The submission deadline for ICES 2013 (IEEE International Conference on Evolvable Systems) is coming up on the 23rd of November. Professor Pauline Haddow at the Intelligent Systems Group, IDI, is a co-chair of the conference. At yesterday’s annual IME-party, Adjunct Associate Professor Anders Kofod-Petersen won the “Disseminator of the Year” – award. The price is annually awarded by the Faculty of Information Technology, Mathematics, and Electrical Engineering (IME) to a researcher who has done a remarkable job in representing and spreading information about his field.
As regular readers of this site know, Anders has done a lot to present applied AI projects to various media lately, in particular through his work on the Intelligent Traffic Light and the Intelligent Sliding Door. Congratulations, Anders!
